2.4.1 In the area of non-mandatory pension provision and other areas?
- The legal basis for the processing of your personal data depends on the purpose of the data processing in each individual case. The following are possible:
- consent, if you have given us consent to process your personal data for specific purposes. We process your personal data within the scope of and based on this consent, unless we have another legal basis and require one. Consent that has been granted can be withdrawn at any time, but this has no effect on data processing that has already taken place. You can send us a revocation by e-mail or by post to the (e-mail) address stated in section 1.1.
- the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract with your employer (affiliation contract for occupational benefits),
- the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract with you or your request in advance (e.g. contracts for home ownership financing),
- the overriding interest (for example, to ensure information security or data protection or to perform tasks in the public interest), but in this case you may be able to object,
- a legal obligation (e.g. in the case of documents or information for which there is a time-regulated retention obligation).
2.4.2 In the area of mandatory occupational benefits insurance?
As a legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the area of mandatory occupational benefits insurance, we regularly rely on a legal basis, in particular on
- the Federal Law on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension PlansBVG);
- the Federal Law on Vested Benefits in Occupational Pension Plans (FZG);
and the associated ordinances. As a federal body, we process your personal data in this area within the scope of our statutory processing powers (e.g. Art. 85a ff. BVG).
We treat your personal data confidentially. If your personal data is not processed by us, but by processors or other controllers, we ensure that the legal requirements are complied with in full. Data will only be passed on to third parties if:
- this is necessary for the execution of the occupational benefit scheme or for the provision of other services by us,
- this is necessary for the contract with you,
- the disclosure is permissible on the basis of a balancing of interests,
- we are legally obliged to disclose, or
- have received consent from you.
Some of the recipients are in Switzerland, but some are also abroad. However, we store the data of our insured persons and tenants on our core systems in Switzerland or in an EU/EEA country that has appropriate data protection.
However, with regard to certain processing of personal data, you must in particular expect your data to be transferred to other countries within and outside Europe, where some of the IT service providers we use are located.
If we transfer data to a country in which there is no adequate legal level of data protection, we require that the recipient takes appropriate measures to protect personal data (e.g. by agreeing so-called EU standard contractual clauses, current version available here, other precautions or based on justification).
In principle, we only process your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations or otherwise for the purposes pursued with the processing.
Insofar as statutory retention obligations exist, the personal data concerned will be stored for the duration of the retention obligation. After the retention obligation has expired, we check whether there is any further need for processing. If it is no longer necessary, your data will either be deleted or anonymized.
As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes or a prescribed retention period expires, your personal data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.
We take appropriate technical and organizational security precautions to protect your personal data against manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures also include the encryption of your personal data. All information that you enter online, for example, is transmitted via an encrypted transmission path.
Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
We also take our own internal data protection seriously. Our employees and the service companies commissioned by us are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with data protection regulations. Furthermore, they are only granted access to your personal data to the extent necessary.
We use video surveillance systems at our site in Lupfig to safeguard our domiciliary rights and to protect people, facilities and property. The image recordings are used in particular to prevent criminal offenses, to clarify security-related incidents and to preserve evidence for the enforcement of legal claims.
Video surveillance is only carried out in clearly defined areas in and around the Cavendum building. The recordings are only evaluated in the event of an incident. Clearly visible signs and pictograms on site provide information about the surveillance.
Recorded video material will only be accessed in individual cases if there is a justified incident. It will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary to enforce legal claims. The recordings are automatically deleted after a certain period of time, unless longer storage is required by law or is objectively justified.
In addition to video surveillance, we use other organizational and technical security measures, including access controls and IT and network protection systems.
In principle, you have the right to information, rectification, erasure, the right to restriction of data processing and otherwise to object to our data processing as well as to the disclosure of certain personal data for the purpose of transfer to another body (so-called data portability).
Please note, however, that we reserve the right to assert the restrictions provided for by law, for example if we are obliged to store or process certain data, have an overriding interest in doing so (insofar as we are entitled to invoke this) or require it for the assertion of claims.
We have already informed you about the possibility of withdrawing your consent in section 2.4.1. Please note that exercising these rights may conflict with contractual agreements and may have consequences such as premature termination of the contract or cost consequences. We will inform you in advance if this is not already contractually regulated.
The exercise of such rights generally requires that you clearly prove your identity (e.g. by means of a copy of your identity card, where your identity is otherwise not clear or cannot be verified). To assert your rights, you can contact us at the address given in section 1.1.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
3. how do we handle personal data in the area of occupational pensions?
In response to the corresponding entry notification from your employer, we record your personal data as part of the entry process in order to register you as an insured person with FUTURA (hereinafter "active insured person"). - Contract, case and benefit data that arise in connection with a potential or actual affiliation agreement or its termination, the admission of insured persons to the occupational benefits scheme and contract processing. We process your personal data for the purpose of implementing the occupational benefit scheme. This includes the following purposes:

- Examination and processing of pension cases (retirement, disability, death) and payment of benefits where applicable.
We also disclose personal data to third parties within the scope of our business activities and for the above-mentioned purposes, insofar as this is permitted and appropriate, either because they process it for us (order processing) or because they wish to use it for their own purposes (disclosure of data). This relates in particular to

- Service providers who take over asset management on our behalf;

Some of the recipients are in Switzerland, but some are also abroad. However, we store all of our policyholders' data on our core systems in Switzerland or in an EU/EEA country that has appropriate data protection.
4. how do we handle our tenants' personal data?
We own various properties in Switzerland, most of which we rent out. The rental properties are mainly apartments, office and commercial space.
If you are an existing tenant or are interested in one of our rental properties and would like to apply for it, we process the personal data that you provide to us, that we collect about you or that we have received from third parties. This includes in particular

- Contract data (this includes, for example, information on security deposits, rental property, rent and service charge bill, number of people in the household or condition and furnishings of the rental property)
We primarily use the personal data we collect in connection with our real estate business:

Some of the recipients are in Switzerland, but some are also abroad. However, we store all of our tenants' data on our core systems in Switzerland.
5 What personal data do we collect when you visit our website?

This data is not passed on to third parties or analyzed in any other way. A personal user profile is not created.
The personal data is deleted or anonymized as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of the collection of your personal data for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.

You can object to this data processing at any time. Please send your objection to the e-mail address stated in section 1.1. In such a case, your request will not be processed any further.
Your personal data will be deleted as soon as the request you have made has been dealt with. This is the case if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations.

Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device. They cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly and effective overall and to make your visit to our website as pleasant as possible.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. These are automatically deleted when you log out or close the browser. We use Matomo, a web analysis service of InnoCraft Ltd. from New Zealand ("Matomo") on our WebPortal and myFUTURA.
Matomo is an open source software that allows us to analyze the behavior of our users. For this purpose, Matomo sets a cookie, which is used to record your IP address, the website accessed and the time spent on the respective website, among other things. Your IP address is shortened and thus anonymized immediately after it is collected and before it is stored.
This data processing takes place exclusively for the statistical analysis of the use of our portals. It is necessary for our legitimate interest in optimizing our offer and thereby avoiding the processing of personal data as far as possible.

On our website, we use various services of Google LLC, based in the USA, or if you have your habitual residence in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, Google Ireland Ltd, based in Ireland ("Google"). Google LLC is always responsible for the processing of personal data when using "Google Maps". We use the following Google services on our website:
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Analytics
- Google Maps
- Google Fonts
Further information on the individual services can be found below.
Google uses technologies such as cookies, web storage in the browser and tracking pixels that enable your use of our website to be analyzed. The information generated about your use of our website may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA or other countries and stored there. Information about the locations of Google's data centers can be found here.
We use tools provided by Google, some of which, according to Google, may process personal data in countries where Google or its subcontractors maintain facilities. In its "Data Processing Addendum for Products where Google is a Data Processor", Google promises to ensure an adequate level of data protection by relying on the EU standard contractual clauses.
In addition, Google is subject to the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certified.
For more information on processing by Google and privacy settings, please refer to Google's privacy policy or privacy settings.
Our website uses the Google Tag Manager. With Google Tag Manager, website tags can be managed efficiently. Website tags are placeholders that are stored in the source code of the respective website, e.g. to record the integration of frequently used website elements, such as code for web analysis services. Google Tag Manager works without cookies and triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been carried out at domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager.
Further information can be found in the Google Tag Manager terms of use.
We use the web analysis service Google Analytics to analyze our website and its visitors as well as for marketing and advertising purposes.
Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) and enable your use of our website to be analyzed. This allows us to evaluate the usage behavior on our website and use the statistics/reports obtained to make our offer more interesting.
In Google Analytics, the anonymization of IP addresses is activated by default. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within Switzerland or the EU/EEA before transmission. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server and shortened there.
Google uses this information for the purpose of evaluating your pseudonymous use of our website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to us. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. When you visit our website, your user behavior is recorded in the form of events (such as page views, interaction with the website or your "click path") as well as other data such as your approximate location (country and city), technical information about your browser and the end devices you use or the referrer URL, i.e. the website/advertising media from which you came to our website.
You can prevent the collection and transmission of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of our website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics. If you wish to object to interest-based advertising by Google, you can use the settings and opt-out options provided by Google.
An overview of data usage in Google Analytics and the measures taken by Google to protect your data can be found in the Google Analytics Help.
Further information on the terms of use of Google Analytics and on data protection at Google can be found in the respective documents.
We use the online map service Google Maps on our website to integrate interactive maps on our website.
When you access a website on which Google Maps maps are embedded, Google Maps will set a cookie. As a rule, this cookie is not deleted when the browser is closed, but only expires after a certain period of time, unless you delete it manually beforehand.
By using Google Maps, information about your use of our website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google may store this data as usage profiles for the purposes of customizing its services, advertising and market research. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish this to happen, you must log out beforehand.
If you do not agree with this processing of your information, you have the option of deactivating the Google Maps service. To do this, you must deactivate the Java Script function in your browser. However, this may also affect other functions of our website.
Further information can be found in the terms of use for Google Maps and Google's privacy policy.
We use the script and font library Google Fonts on our website to display fonts and to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers. Google Fonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to avoid multiple loading. If your browser does not support Google Fonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a standard font.
Calling up script or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible - although it is currently unclear whether and for what purposes - that the operator collects Google data in this case.
We do not collect any personal data through the integration of Google Fonts.
You can object to data processing by Google Web Fonts by deactivating the execution of JavaScript in your browser or installing a JavaScript blocker. Please note that this may result in functional restrictions on the website.

In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use web fonts (in particular icons) from Fonticons Inc. based in the USA ("Font Awesome") on our website.
The icons are loaded via the Font Awesome Content Delivery Network (CDN). CDNs are server networks that are distributed worldwide and therefore make it possible to load files quickly from the nearest server. In order for the icons to be loaded, the browser you are using automatically establishes a connection to Font Awesome's servers. In particular, Font Awesome receives information about your IP address and which icon you have loaded and when. This information is stored on the respective CDN server, including in the USA.
According to Font Awesome's privacy policy, Font Awesome processes this data about the use of your CDN, among other things, to optimize your CDN, diagnose and correct technical errors, protect the CDN from misuse and attacks and to compile statistics.
We ourselves do not collect any personal data through the integration of Font Awesome.
Further information about Font Awesome can be found in the privacy policy and the Support + FAQ page of Font Awesome.
Our website uses the services of the provider Vimeo Inc. based in the USA ("Vimeo") to integrate videos.
When you visit a page on our website that contains a Vimeo video, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Vimeo servers. This tells Vimeo which of our web pages you have visited. If you are logged into your Vimeo account at the same time, Vimeo can assign this information to your personal user account. If you click on the start button of a video, this information can also be assigned to an existing user account. You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your Vimeo user account before using our website and deleting the corresponding cookies from Vimeo.
We have concluded an order agreement with Vimeo, including EU standard contractual clauses, to ensure the protection of your personal data and an appropriate level of data protection.
In addition, Vimeo is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Vimeo, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy, please refer to Vimeo's privacy policy.
We would like to point out that Vimeo may use Google Analytics. For further information on data processing by Google and your opt-out options, please refer to Google's privacy policy or the browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics and Google's settings for personalized advertising.

The data you enter on our social media profiles will be published by the social media platform and will not be used or processed by us for any other purpose at any time. However, we reserve the right to delete content should this be necessary. We may communicate with you via the social media platform.
