Today, together with our partners Losinger Marazzi SA and our future neighbors Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn RBS, we were able to celebrate a significant milestone: the laying of the foundation stone for the Metropark construction project in Worblaufen. A historic moment that marks the official start of a visionary residential project. A time capsule containing documents and symbols was buried as part of the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone - as a small message to future generations and a testimony to our shared vision today.

Construction of the two residential and commercial buildings O2a and O2b, designed by Holzer Kobler Architekturen, started in January 2025. 55 modern rental apartments with a diverse mix of apartments are planned:

  • 05×1.5-room
  • 15x 2.5-room
  • 25x 3.5-room
  • 10x 4.5-room
  • plus 2 commercial premises

The new station square is being created between the Metropark buildings and Worblaufenstrasse. At the heart of the project developed by Losinger Marazzi as total contractor together with RBS is a commitment to sustainable and liveable living and working spaces. The wooden façades, the Minergie-P standard of the two residential properties and the play areas and green spaces to the north are all evidence of this.

The forward-looking and sustainable urban living and working space is expected to be ready for occupation from fall/winter 2027 - an exciting step for the development of the neighborhood and an attractive offer for future tenants.

We are looking forward to the next stages and would like to thank everyone involved for the great cooperation!
